Sustainability In Action

At Shropshire IT Recycling sustainability isn’t a tick‑box exercise — it’s embedded into how we operate, who we work with, and the impact we aim to create both locally and nationally

Our mission is simple: turn unwanted technology into environmental, social, and community value driven by
circular economy  principles

Circular Economy

Our recycling processes support a
circular economy by recovering valuable materials such as metals and components, reducing reliance on virgin raw materials and lowering carbon impact

Our environmental management systems align with recognised international standards including
ISO 14001

Collaboration

Our collaborations are central to our values and essential to
achieving our sustainability goals

By joining forces, we amplify positive change and stay true to our purpose of creating responsible
circular IT solutions for Shropshire and beyond

Technology Donations to Local Charities

We donate refurbished technology to local charities and community organisations to help them better support the people they work with.

This includes items such as mobile phones donated to Stay Telford to support individuals in need, and monitors provided to BizEd Projects CIC to help enable education, training, and community‑focused projects. By redistributing usable equipment, we help charities reduce costs, improve access to technology, and make better use of limited resources.

These donations also reinforce the value of reuse over disposal, ensuring technology continues to deliver social benefit while reducing environmental impact.

Charity Fundraising Through IT Recycling

We work with local and national charities, including Severn Hospice, The Movement Centre, WM Air Ambulance and many more, this is to help raise vital funds through the responsible recycling of donated technology and also charities own redundant IT equipment.

By collecting and processing unwanted devices, we ensure technology is either reused where possible or recycled responsibly, while generating direct financial contributions for the charity. This approach allows organisations to raise funds without additional cost, reduce environmental impact, and dispose of IT securely and compliantly.

Through these initiatives, we have raised over £1,000 for one of the charitable causes alone, demonstrating how responsible IT recycling can deliver meaningful social value alongside environmental benefits.

Grassroots & Community Support

We actively support local grassroots sport by sponsoring two girls’ teams at Sparta FC — the U11 Girls team and the U8 Girls team.

Grassroots clubs play a vital role in encouraging physical activity, confidence, teamwork, and inclusion from a young age. By sponsoring these teams, we help ensure young players have access to the resources, equipment, and support needed to participate, develop skills, and enjoy sport in a positive environment.

Our sponsorship reflects our wider commitment to community wellbeing, equal opportunities, and investing locally, helping grassroots sport continue to thrive at the heart of the community.
